Holiday Light Shows Around North Georgia

One of my fondest holiday memories is heading out with the whole family in the car to check out the Christmas light shows around town. The first one we would always go to would be the Lights of Life show at Life College as we headed back from Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws. We have seen almost every show on my list so that is why I am glad to recommend them to you. I hope this helps you make some wonderful memories with your family as well!
Magical Nights of Lights at Lanier Islands. One of the largest light shows in the area has been going on for more than 25 years. Come drive through this amazing display, and this year, there is a special Margaritaville twist. And after your drive, be sure to visit Santa. Nov. 22 - Jan 5.
Stone Mountain Christmas Lights at Stone Mountain Park. This is not just a light show, no sir, the show at Stone Mountain also features thousands of lights including projections and special effects. Don’t miss the Wonderland Walkway, a dazzling tunnel of lights that leads to the Snow Angel Palace as well as holiday activities. Through Jan. 5.
Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens. Callaway Gardens, one of the original light shows around Atlanta, gives you the chance to enjoy more than 8 million twinkling lights and a garden decorated for the season. Nov. 15 - Jan. 4.
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at Atlanta Botanical Garden. There is a lot to see here including the amazing lights throughout the garden, Nature’s Wonders, Orchestral Orbs Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest and Model Trains. Nov. 16 - Dec. 23rd.
Country Christmas Nights at The Rock Ranch.   Drive through Christmas lights to see thousands of lights all put up by the ranch hands of the property and other volunteers. Stop by Truett's barn with the family for some hot chocolate, apple cider, soups and other treats. Nov. 28-Dec. 25.
Holiday Lights at Barnsley Resort Barnsley Resort transforms into a holiday wonderland as our cozy English village and stately manor house are bedecked with over one million dazzling lights. Nov. 27-Jan.1.

Six Flags Over Georgia Holiday in the Park  Six Flags Over Georgia extends its season with the first ever Holiday in the Park. The holiday classic will include sparkling lights, festive shows, tasty culinary treats and of course, the Big Man: Santa Claus in all his glory. Nov. 24 - Jan.5.
Enchanted Garden of Lights at Rock City Gardens Our neighbors to the north have a great show as you make your way through 1 million holiday lights in over 30 different scenes from the North Pole to Magic Forest and Yule Town. Meet Santa, decorate cookies and more! Nov. 22-Jan.4.
Lights of Life at Life College More than 100 displays of light adorn the 1.5 mile drive through Life College . Santa and his sleigh stands over 65 feet high making it the tallest in the Southeast. There's a petting zoo, pony rides and train rides plus you can also have your picture taken with Santa for an additional fee.
