Holiday Light Shows Around North Georgia
One of my fondest holiday memories is heading out with the whole family in the car to check out the Chirstmas light shows around town. The first one we would always go to would be the Lights of Life show at Life College as we headed back from Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws. We have seen almost every show on my list so that is why I am glad to recommend them to you. I hope you make some wonderful memories with your family as well!
Magical Nights of Lights at Lanier Islands. One of the largest light shows in the area has been gpoing on for more than 25 years. Come drive through this amazing display, and this year, there is a special Margaritaville twist. And after your drive be sure to visit Santa. Through Jan 6.
Stone Mountain Christmas Lights at Stone Mountain Park. This is nit just a light show, no sir, the show at Stone Mountain also features thousands of lights including projections and special effects. Don’t miss the Wonderland Walkway, a dazzling tunnel of lights that leads to the Snow Angel Palace as well as holiday activities . Through Jan. 6.
Fantasy in Lights at Callaway Gardens. Callaway Gardesn, one of the original light shows around Atlanta, gives you the chance to enjoy more than 8 million twinkling lights and a garden decorated for the season. Through Jan. 5.
Garden Lights, Holiday Nights at Atlanta Botanical Garden. There is a lot to see here including the amazing lights throughout the garden, Nature’s Wonders, Orchestral Orbs Glittering Galaxy, Radiant Rainforest and Model Trains. Through Jan. 6.
Country Christmas Nights at The Rock Ranch. Don't want to drive through the lights? We'll do it for you...jump on the Christmas Express Train featuring a snowflake tunnel and a dancing Christmas lights show. Dec. 6-8, 13-15 and 20-22.
Lights of Life at Life University. Tons of holiday lights on display around the campus. Over the years this has grown to include pony rides, train rides and a petting zoo. Through Dec. 31.
Pettit Creek Farms Christmas Lights at Pettit Creek Farms. More than one mile of light displays, there's a petting zoo, reindeer, visits with Santa and more. Through Dec. 30.
Holiday Lights of Hope at Hobgood Park. Come visit with Santa and enjoy a leisurely stroll through light and animated displays, Dec. 7-23.
Enchanted Garden of Lights at Rock City. Our neighbors to the north have a great show as you make your way through 1 million holiday lights in over 30 different scenes from the North Pole to Magic Forest and Yule Town. Meet Santa, decorate cookies and more! Nov. 16-Dec. 31.
